Procrastination 101

All the things I love to do before I do what I have to do:

1. Check email
2. Facebook
3. check blog comments
4. post a new post (that's what I'm doing now)
(non computer stuff)
5. Eat something
6. make a phone call
7. organize something
8.  knit
9. deal with my hair
10. take a walk outside

There!  Admitting you have a problem is the first step to solving it.  What is it that I SHOULD be doing?  Lesson Planning.  I have given myself 7 more minutes to goof around before I lesson plan.

By the way, have you noticed that as SOON as you do the HARD thing on the list that everything else is sooooooo much easier?  Eat the big frog first.  Do 'er; getter done.  Get at 'em! Go go go..    (I think it's working)  I'm starting to motivate myself.  Now I'm doing jumping jacks and ham curls.  Can you feel the energy?  Alright then.  I have to go.. and talk on the phone... I mean Lesson plan!

Loved your list! I MAKE myself get dressed, have devotions with hubby, feed him breakfast and get him out the door, do calisthenics, and then...

and then...I'm just like you! I sit down and check my email and enjoy a little time with my beloved blogging friends before settling into productivity for the day. I guess at heart all women are the same...we love (and need) relationships!

One thing I do try to do is make myself limit this little prize time of enjoying friends so that I start working for real at at least a quasi-respectable time. But, a short break is like a recess for adults...gets us reinvigorated for our long shift of loving our kids or whatever job we have, and that's not all bad! :)

No, it's not all bad. And I did finish my lesson planning!! I love taking breaks, but I could tell I was procrastinating~

And I'm procrastinating right now. I should be going to bed like a good little pregnant lady...But checking blogs is pretty high on my list of things to do while procrastinating.

I am exactly the same way!!! It all gets done eventually doesn't it...my best work is done scrambling at the last minute..LOL.

I try to get up and get dressed, hair, makeup...then computer. I think that is my problem, I sit down just too soon, then I don't get back up...geez!
