I'm not really a huge procrastinator, except when I am. See? So, when I am, I need motivation to get something finished.
It's a cheap notebook ($.10) and a super-scientific style list with homemade boxes by each item. Genius, I know.
When I have about 14 million things to do, all of which are unrelated, it helps to have a list. My friend, Kathy taught me that.
What kind of things did I have on the list last week?
-- clean fridge
--call piano teacher
--design quiz for prepositions
--sign checks (I love this one)
--write checks (not as fun)
Nothing impressive, really. But it worked. I actually plowed through the list, one thing after another. Some of the things carried over into this week, but at least I didn't forget about them altogether.
Here's my other project. I have been working on this purple thing for SO long that I can't remember what it feels like not to knit in purple.
The Suzuki moms saw me knitting in purple last Saturday, and one of them said,
"You were working on something last year that was purple.."
Yeah.. and the year before that. I am the perpetual purple procrastinator.
I think I can.. I think I can.. I think I can...
Can you just feel the motivation??

I love making lists for the tasks I need to do!
You made me LOL about your purple project. Best of luck on that!!!
I love lists. I feel so successful crossing things off. So, I put minute details on lists - more to cross off! By the way, I love the ottoman or chair or whatever your list was sitting on in the picture.
When you finish the "purple project", I have a few unfinished projects you can tackle!!!
looks allot like mine..cept I forgot to list the piano teacher or did I? ;0)
What a great tackle! I am so plugged in, I have my to do list in my Outlook. It's all color coded and...I need a 12-Step program:-)
I need to make a list! thanks for reminding me! xcllnt job on yours!
My favorite system - I love lists . . . especially the little boxes!
I'd be lost without my to-do list....
I love that you make boxes i do that all the time and people think i'm silly.lol
You have a great blog!
I'm a big list maker too. The older I get, the fuller my brain, so I lose info often.
Oh I am a big listmaker too! My tackle it tuesday is all about lists too! Christmas lists!
So, what's your purple project going to be when it's done? Be sure to show us!
Lists. I used daily planners for years. Now my lists are written calendar-style on my desktop and include EVERYTHING. (Yep, I'm OCD too.) I can figure out when Joel's last dental appointment was, when I'm due for an eye exam, or how much the last car repair cost, etc. I'd be lost without my calendar!
So, will you be showing us your purple creation when it's done? You know we're all going to be waiting with baited breath. It looks so beautiful!
I am a big list maker, too! When I start to feel frazzled, I just put it on paper and get it out of my head. That seems to make things go so much more smoothly!
I love your homemade list! It is super cute...my homemade lists always look like a disaster but your looks fun!
So what is this purple project you are working on? I am a knitter too!
