Time to get cleaning!

I know how everyone said they liked videos--especially videos that play everything fast!! Since I've been whining about my messy home, I thought we would give you a taste of the family blitz. Our goal was 15 minutes; it actually took 20. We got the living room and kitchen done and helpers were in the kitchen doing their chores also!

How about a link-up on Thursday? Can you guys get ready to link up your blitzing for Thursday night/ Friday? This should give you a little time to prepare!

So fun! I'm going to get some music like yours. Maybe it will make me move fast, too! ;o)

Oh, that was so much fun! I think I'll show my kids when they wake up. I actually use the word "blitz" around here, so I think they'll get it. And they'll enjoy knowing that other kids have to blitz, too.

You have a very pretty house, btw.

The music really made it! That was a lot of fun. I especially liked seeing Emily's play spot get tidied.

I notice that you like to put furniture catty cornered - so do I!

Sorry about the quality of the video. We have no curtains on the back windows, and it washes everything out pretty easily. Thank you, Mrs. P! You didn't see my stained carpeting or other things we have going here. We ARE very thankful because this home is fine and it meets our needs.

I hope your kids will all enjoy watching other kids "pitch in" to help! When we all work together, the whole is really clean in only 20 minutes!

That is soooo funny! The music was just great! Thanks for sharing. Don't you wish we could get things done that fast in real time?! My house would be SPOTLESS!

That was great. Love the music. But, I was a bit distracted by your sweater. It's adorable! May I ask where you found that? :)

LOVE IT!

It's like the Irish/Scottish cleaning gnomes, scurrying around.

Oh, I know, I know! You put the music on and try to have the house clean before the music stops - like musical chairs!

WOO-HOO!

Introducing a competitive element into the cleaning blitz will draw more effort out of the males of the species. ;D

(Only saying that because mine need the motivation, not yours.)

I can't help but giggle! I think cleaning my house would be much easier with such a pleasant soundtrack. Perhaps I should find one... I love this whole blitz idea!

P.S. I showed my kids the video. They wanted to watch it three times. I think they would have gone for more, but it was time for OUR blitz. We even made an attempt at finding Celtic sounding music.

Sarah (Blue Castle), I found the sweater at a thrift store--of course! It's a high-end thrift store, but the sweater was on sale for $3.99 I think.

Ack. I was hoping I could find one like it. :) Oh well. You have great taste and the sweater looks very nice on you.

Sarah: Thanks! It's just when you've convinced yourself that you look like a dork that someone comes along and says something sweet about your physical appearance. Praise the Lord for these little things that make life special.

That's a fun video! My son thinks the song is saying "Boojie". =)

Okay, I have to know - is that E Muzeki playing? My husband and I are HUGE renaissance faire lovers, and that was a band that we followed for a long time, and they did that song. They are no longer together, but the fiddle player, Jenny, is in a new band that is very similar called Circa Paleo - they play all the celtic and gypsy music one could want! LOVED this!
